I have a 5-6 year old Honda 5 HP that I need to change the lower unit oil on. The manual says to use a SAE 90 Hypoid oil. When I when in to get the oil at my local outboard store/mechanic, the guy almost laughed me out of the store. He said sae 90 was old fashioned and they havent used it for years. He sold me some Yamaha lube which he said would work. I was only following the manual. Can somebody tell me if I need to use the hypoid oil or just regualr hi-visc lower unit oil??????????Thanks
