Hi,
I am trying to put a honda 75hp on a universal top control but the cables don't match-up. First of all the, the cables that were originally hooked-up to this control had rubber stoppers towards the end the hold the cables in place when shifting...the honda cables don't have the stoppers. Then if the honda cables are hooked-up the handle on the control only goes a quarter of the way in forward and won't go in reverse at all. The motor end is fully extended before it allows the control to go any further.
I know this may sound a bit confusing. If you need any clarification please let me know. I greatly appreciate the help on this one as my father and I are really wanting to get the new boat in the water.
