Hey Guys,
Got my angled transom problem solved. Thanks for all the help.
Now, I've got another question....
Installed brand new Nissan 18hp on boat and there is a small hole in the botom of the lower unit in the gear case behind the prop that is dripping a small amount of oil. Seems to be some type of bleeder or pressure release??? Not sure, but is this normal? The motor has not yet been started except for the standard test run at the factory. I've done nothing to it, but put it on the boat. Haven't even put oil in it yet.
Thanks,
Curtis

Re: Oil Drip Nissan 18hp

When the engine is shipped it gets turned in every possible direction. There is always some residual oil that winds up where it was never intended to go. It isn't a problem.

Thanks Guru,
Any idea what the purpose of that hole is? I can't find a schematic on the engine.
