The water just dribbles from the ports. What am I looking at cost wise for a impellar change out? Just got this boat, it's a 97 and has sat for 3 years. Is it tough to tackle yourself? Any help would be greatly appreciated. Thanks. Great site here also.

The impeller change is rather easy, as long as you don't have any major corrosion or mineral deposits to deal with. There is a shift linkage and a few bolts to get the lower unit off. Get a manual, well worth it for this and many of the other tune-up stuff you will want to do. I have done the 40C and 18E, and they were both easy and not any different than dealing with other small outboards, like Johnson/Evinrude.

Check the pee hole too, sometimes mineral deposits form there as well.
