Honda 4 stroke 90 HP Hours

I am considering buying a boat with twin 90 hp Honda 4 strokes. The dealership believes that the motors have about 1200 hours on them. Is this considered alot of hours? How many hours are these motors capable of? Can anything be done to prolong motor life? What would be the signs of worn out motors/ or motors on the verge?

do a compression test
4 strokes u are looking around 3000-4000 hrs

i know for a fact that honda will last for awhile............

just btake care of them and youll be fine....
it also depends how much u will use them.........

anything honda is good!
