Just purchased used 9.9b2 Tohatsu - starts 1st or 2nd pull, idles great, runs very smooth.

Tested on local lake recently. Engine ran great until 1/2 throttle achieved, then bogged down and died. Restarted easily but experienced same occurence even at lower sppeds a moment later.

*Ensured fuel tank ventilation screw fully open while engine running*

Observation:
Fuel line appeared vacuumed out (bulb implosion/suction). Detached fuel line, depressed needle at connections to re-establish airflow (re-inflate inflate bulb) and tried again. Unable to restart 3rd time. Trolling motor saved the return trip to dock...

Suggestions or pointers greatly appreciated!

If the fuel bulb was collasped then the problem is before the bulb. IE the tank or fuel fitting.
