Honda marine cannot definitely tell me what caused my #2 plug to close up after 2-3 hours run time (see previous post). The local dealer removed the head and said "perhaps water in the cylinder caused by a hairline crack in the block caused cylinder detonation." Instead of replacing the head and block I opted to repower with a new 90. My '96 has 550 hours, ran fine right up till the end...good tilt/trim, lower unit and pretty much everything else except head and block. Even the crankshaft checked out ok. It's for sale for parts....the dealer (located near Newport, RI) will hold it for a couple of weeks and the best offer will get it. Will only sell complete. Call me if interested. 401-434-0425
