I have a Crestliner SS16 fishing boat with a Honda BF30 tiller steer. I do most of my fishing in lakes from 7000 to 9000 feet above sea level. With two people and gear in the boat the average top end is around 17.5 to 19 mph at full throttle. I did replace the prop with a 9 pitch to get the most power at high altitudes.
Should I have a better top end? Should I change over to a 2 stroke for max power and speed (Etec)?
