My 2004 honda BF15 has been doing a fine job when called upon at any given time. The last time the motor rode out a massive storm where the dory it was on was washed off the railway and pounded on the rocks. The damage was negligable to boat and almost non existent to the motor. The motor however has been a bear to start and won't really idle down. Is it possible the motor got wetted out or are they prone to gumming up if left to sit a little too long?Mark

how long was engine unused ?
i understand the carb jets have a very fine oriface and if left idle for months at a time
thos orifaces can plug with stale gas residue.

Re: Honda BF15 running rough

Yeah, I think that is a distinct possibility as I was using my BF 50 for most of the summer and the BF15 might have sat around with a bit of gas in the carbs. I used to run the gas out at the end of each use but I stopped doing that and might now have caused the rough running syndrome. Mark
