99 Nissan 5hp (5A) 4 sroke Lower unit removal

What has to be done to the shift shaft when attempting to remove lower unit? I removed the 10mm and 13mm bolts holding lower unit - this dropped lower unit a couple inches - removed shift shaft grommet at top of midsection - what is holding her- I assume shift shaft, but do not see a disconnect.<br />Thanks<br />Ed

Move the shift handle until you see the shiftrod coupler where the grommet was. Loosen the screw on the coupler and the lower unit will drop off.
