What kind of boat aluminum? Fiberglass? Does it happen throughout the RPM range? Is the prop OK?

Re: honda 25hp 2004 vibration question

It sounds like to me that if the motor is hitting on all cylinders "not missing" that maybe it just needs a carb synchronization. Aluminum boats tend to amplify minor probs, heck sometimes no problems at all...lol

Re: honda 25hp 2004 vibration question

I bought a Solas 11 pitch for my brand new honda, and it vibrates at idle speed when in gear, but not in nuetral or above 800 RPM. I believe this has to do with the prop enaging - it should move away from the hub. This one seems to have a problem with that. My factory 12 pitch does not do this. Very annoying.

I would like to know Paul if you are getting better speed with the 11 pitch prop,MY boat is 14ft 10 like the rebel 66inch beam, with the stock prop I'am going 22-24mph having trouble planing out with 2 adults and gear looking to put a 11 pitch prop on.
