I have a honda 7.5 SN BF75-1002062. I am converting from long shaft to short shaft and must replace the shift rod assy with a shorter assy. Where the shift rod goes into lower unit it goes thru a brass plug feedthru. I am unable to remove the shaft/brass plug assy. Is there a setscrew I am missing? By looking at the new assy the brass plug has no threads or setscrew just an o-ring. <br />Does anyone know how to remove this and also the year of the motor? <br /><br />thanks
