Cracked Fuel Filter Housing( Old Nissan 40)

Hi all. I have a question. Please help if you can. I have a Nissan 40c with a crcked fuel filter housing. It is now sucking air and causing the motor to die out. I have an fuel filter housing from a yamaha 25HP. Are they compatile? I can't imagine that they are that different in function. If this is a stupid question I apologize. <br /><br />One more quick question. I am leaking fuel where the fuel line enters the carb. How can I fix that piece.<br /><br />Again sorry for my ignorance. Thanks all.<br /><br />Gregg

I have a Tohatsu 40 hsp and took it to a mechanic who replaced my fuel filter with a new Yamaha filter and it works great , so I don't see why you couldn't do the same.

As long as it mounts the same....no problem.
