Water is getting into the oil of my 8 HP 4 stroke Honda outboard. I presume the head gasket is the problem. Can an amateur with a shop manual tackle this job successfully??
Get the manaul on ebay. They are 25 bucks. The headgasket can be found at www.boats.net. The 8hp is very similar to the 10. They had change the rating on the engine some time back. If you want to be sure and get the right parts I'd use boats.net. Have your serial number ready and you should be good to go.
