vacumn line 90 hp honda

I am in the process of putting together 2 1997 90 hp hondas on the lower front of the motor there is a nipple that appears to be for a vacumn line any idea where this line would run to. clymer repair book doesnt show it.

There are no vac lines at all on this engine.

That small tube is a vent for the flywheel cavaty. There are a set of shaft seals on the driveshaft that prevent water from leaking into that cavity. If you see any water vent from that tube, you have a seal failure that is described in a service bullitit from Honda. If the water accumallation is not fixed, the water will rust out the starter motor.
