I just purchased a "new" 2002 30hp, 4 stroke, Tohatsu outboard with manual start. The specs stated it has an alternator and a rectifier installed. I want to be able to use that charging capability to charge my on-board 12 volt battery that I use for accessories ( electric trolling motor, depth/fish finder, lights). <br />It does not come with a harness to hook up to my battery from the rectifier. Does anyone know where to purchase such an item? cost? and is it easy to install myself? Thanks Ron

Tohatsu does not offer the two wires as a kit, but, it's just two wires that you can buy anywhere. One for the positive lead and one for the negative. So easy, that even I could do it.
