Re: Honda BF 25 throttle adjustment

My 25hp honda has a tiller handle. When I purchased this motor it was a demo. motor and I believe the throttle cables and linkage is out of adjustment. When I shift to neutrel I can twist the grip to "Fast". Should it stop at "Choke"? Also I dont think the throttles are opening all the way. How can I make sure that they do? thanks, Tom

That choke decal on your twist grip is meaningless and I 'm not sure why they put it there.Advance that grip as far as it will let you on a cold start and that will give you a nice quick start.Look at your row of carbs and on the bottom carb you will see a boss sticking out where the throttle pivots. When you move the twist grip you will also see a bent over part on that pivot. When you are at wide open these two points should be touching or very very close to it.Hope this heips.
