I have recently purchase a new Honda 50 HP outboard and although it runs like a top, the cowling has a problem. The handle on the back of the cover does not fit flush with the main cowling. One side fits perfect but the other sticks up about 1/4 inch above the cowling. I received a new handle assembly from Honda and installed it but it fits the same. This leads me to believe that the cowling itself has a defect. I am currently awaiting a call from my dealer to let me know what Honda is going to do about this problem. Has anyone else experienced a problem with their cover?
