Honda 8.5 impeller replacement

I am dismantling a 1980 Honda 8.5 HP lower unit to replace the upper bearing and seal and am working without a manual (out of stock!). I would like to know how to separate the lower part of the drive shaft from the upper part in order to replace the water pump impeller.

Have you tried the library or NAPA?<br /> NAPA lists a Clymer manual for 2 to 150 hp.<br />Part number 18-0097.I would strongly suggest<br />you work from a manual.<br /> Id be glad to get you started but havent a clue about your motor.
