1982 honda 7.5 won't throttle up

hi all,<br />got ready to use my little honda this spring and it won't seem to throttle up. got fresh gas, cleaned the plugs, checked the carb for varnish.<br />it idles (though rough) but when i put it in gear it won't speed up much. it even tries to spit a little out of the carb air guide. just had this pup tuned up late last year and it ran great in january. any ideas?<br />thanks

Try running it in a barrel, and pull the spark plug wires one at a time to see if one isn't firing. Sounds like you're only hitting on one cylinder.

thanks, i'll try that today. i guess that would mean a bad ignition coil?
