Honda 15 Hp water pump impeller

I replaced impeller,that was shot, but I am still not getting any water to circulate. What else could be the promblem? thanks for any suggestions

Look for a blocked intake. I even had muddaubers build a nest in my intake,and didn't find it until AFTER the impeller job (like you).<br />Also,pull the thermostat, and the tell-tale hose where it goes out of the side of the engine case. They tell-tale will plug up quickly.<br />When u try the engine, try it withjout the T-stat installed, and this will allow the whole cooling system to flush-out good.<br />Then,after about 10 minutes at idle,replace it with a new T-stat.

I appreciate the help. I followed your advice and took out the thermostat and started engine, still not getting water, however I hooked up garden hose, instead of having it in tank, and I get water through everything and pee stream increases with engine rpm. I think that indicates impeller is working. Any idea why this is happening?
