I ran my five horse 2 stroke Tohatsu in a tank of water. The gas was mixed a little rich. When I pulled it out black oil ran down the propeller blades. I am assuming that is exhaust oil. Right or wrong?
Feel it first. Is it oil or carbon mix coming out. The smell should easily be noticed if it's gear oil (pretty bad smell). If it's oil check the shaft seal.
