Needing to replace water pump on the NS90A, have all 6 bolts out and the gear linkage off. But the LU will not lower at all, is there something I'm missing? Annoyed

The drive shaft is stuck in the crank. You need wedges and patience. Much patience. Do not hammer on the LU; it is easily cracked.

Hello Paul, thanks for the good advice, wedges and patience did it. But now I can't get the old housing out. Try prying,soaking in Blast,vise-grips, and cutting. Afraid of cracking the mount. Am I missing something? Thanks

Do you mean that the water pump case is stuck in the LU casting?
