We are looking at purchasing a 2002 model partycraft pontoon that has a 90 horse Honda 4 stroke outboard on it.
The current owner has lost the key and the boat has sat for a couple of years. I went over and looked her over the floors and wood are all solid and it is in pretty good shape other than some vinyl seats need replacement.
I pulled the engine cover and jumped the solenoid and the engine does spin over.
We intend on picking up a new key switch, putting in a good battery, and connecting it to an external fuel tank for testing purposes. The original key switch is completely gone so a part number would help if anyone knows it.
The idea after a compression check is if we can get it running on the muffs taking it for a test drive before we buy it.
Are there any other suggestions for this outboard? I've had a couple Johnson brand outboards but this is our first four stroke.
