You only need be aware of the seventh "hidden" bolt inside the exhaust snout. You need to remove the exhaust snout to easily access it.
The drive shaft is two pieces. If it sticks inside the crank it may fall on the ground. More likely, the rubber crank seal and steel collar will come off the top of the shaft and fall on the ground. The collar is installed groove up and the bellows is installed with the tapered end up.
Sometimes when putting the lower unit back on the drive shaft will be a bit difficult to get into the crank splines. A second pair of hands is certainly a help.
