1995 Force / Mercury 120 power trim

I have a 1995 Mercury/Force 120.
the power trim works, but will not trim up very much under power.
I have taken the manifold apart, it is clean.
am I missing something?
the O-rings look good in the cylinder.
I trim the unit up and set on the drive (out of the water) and it goes down very slowly.
does someone rebuild these? is there a rebuild kit for them?

There are several different styles of power trim systems used. If you can post a picture of your system, then there are several folks that would be able to give you some help.

There is a re-build kit for the earlier systems but again, without knowing exactly what system you have, it's hard to tell if it applies to your set up.

Looks like that is the later Mercury style Tilt/Trim with a single piston. I don't have any experience with that particular unit, however, repair parts are available. Might want to check this site out. Looks like there are some seals in the manifold.
