Hi guys, So my boat's been in the garage for the last couple of months as it was winter in Melbourne, Australia, and when I picked it up to check that it was in good nick I noticed a small puddle of gearbox oil had leaked. The leak appeared to be from the small vent holes on the underside of the cavitation plate. My grandfather said it shouldn't be an issue, but I'm not convinced. I changed the spark plugs as they were due for a change, and ran the motor in a tub. It idled very smoothly, however there was gearbox oil churned up in the tub water when I was done. I'm assuming this means the gearbox has bad seals that need replacing. I have the manual for my motor, and also plan on changing the impeller when it is apart. Thoughts?
