My 88' 85 hp Force has ran great the past few years. Now it starts cutting out not running good at our peak fishing season. Cranks easy, and runs good at wot for about a mile, then starts it's crap. I've dumped the fuel and started fresh. Changed water separator filter, and installed fresh plugs. Checked fuel lines for anything bad, they all look good. Fuel pump looks good as well.Thank whoever for trolling motors. I've had carb issues in the past, floats coming apart, floats leaking etc... the motor acts as if flooding, any thoughts on this. Also, sprayed carb cleaner around all gaskets, and no change. One more question, should float level be set at level with bowl upside down, or at 5/16 from edge?

If your cutting out after a bit then the vent line might be clogged? Possible the pickup in the tank might have something in it.
Ethanol is melting the hoses and delaminating the inside of the fuel lines.
Yes upside down.
The drop is set while right side up.
