Hello, working on a 1989 force 125 hp 1254x9b It uses 817877A-3 cylinder drain covers. My question is does this system have check valves? I don't see any. This is the 1 piece drain cover style. I pulled the screens. The brass orifices were plugged but I don't see where a check valve would be? Any help would be great. Thanks.

This system uses the one piece cylinder drain cover so no reed. There are 1 elbow for each drain cover and transfer port cover. None are 1 way. This system comes from drain cover then goes to transfer port cover. 1 short hose connects the elbow for each. No more hoses. Anyone with any info would be greatly appreciated. Thanks.

UPDATE
Here is a picture of the drain cover without the screens. The small round rubber piece came out of the lower brass orifice. Is this the check valve?

No check valve in that style.
In 89 they used the kind with the reed and the kind without the reed.
They still sell the screen, but you might not be able to get them.
I've tried a few times to order them, they say they're back ordered.

Never saw that little rubber thingy!!
