Force 50 lower unit - - will 1988 fit 1992

Ive been searching all over the internet trying to find what lower unit will fit my motor. Some said 1984 to 1994 35-50 would fit( purchased 35 lower unit- driveshaft was smaller diameter) I would appreciate any help on this. I have a 1992 model 50hp. I found a nice lower unit from a 1988 50hp and was wondering if it will interchange with mine. Thank you in advance.

The 88 model was used from 74 to 88
The 89 model was used to 94
The picture looks the same but the parts have different parts #s.
Like the drive shaft has different #s.
But it still may fit.
Take your old and compare it.
The 35 is a smaller unit.
