clanging in prop

oh another issue just showed up not sure if its bad or if that's normal I just spun the prop by hand and there is a clanging sound is that normal???

but if I spin the prop other way doesn't clang loud

The shift linkage is not correctly centered and you are hearing the drive dogs tapping each other.

oh so how do I fix that is that adjustment at the engine?? or at the control

I know the throttle control at the front only go up to fuel saver mark but not all the way forward not sure how to fix that either

nvm I figured it out its that center rod of the engine where its hard to get at I adjused the lower nut about 3/4 of a turn or less and then tightened the top lock nut down.. no more clanging. I think engine is ready to go in the water instead of just in the box so I can adjust the forward idle

so when I push forward a bit it just shifts it into gear but doesn't adjust the idle speed.

is that where I adjust the idle speed to roughly 700-80 rpms where it just engages but it doesn't adjust the distrubtor movement
