Just bought a 1986 Bayliner with a Force 85 HP engine. Trying to get it running better. Seems I need to rebuild carbs and replace fuel pump diaphragm and seals. Where is the best place to get these types of parts?

The best place to get parts is from this forum, iBoats.com as long as it is available. Before shelling out $$$ you might want to post what is the problem and what you think needs to be replaced. Of course, it is your $$$ and are more than welcome to spend it as you wish but I do not believe that is the reason you are in this forum in the first place.

Most time the carb can just be cleaned and the air screw reset.
Unless it's really corroded???
I use Dawn dish soap or the Purple Power stuff from Auto Zone or Wally's.
Clean and then blow dry.
Change the impeller and do a compression test before you do ANYTHING.
If they don't have the parts here? then e-bay or some other parts sites will be able to help.
There is one BIG site(boats.net) that sells a bunch of parts but they can either be a blessing or a nightmare.
Franz Marine. and Crowley also has the parts.

The boat had sit for a while with little maintenance. 122-125 PSI in each cylinder. No impeller (outboard).

Was bogging down until on plane. Took the fuel pump cover off and found the screen had been tampered with (needs replaced). The diaphragm in the pump is also in poor shape. Or out of shape...either way. Do not think that the diaphragms have ever been replaced, as there is factory paint on the edges still.

I came to this forum after looking on iboats parts page, and finding the model/year did not have parts available.

Try this link for the fuel pump parts. As for the suggested replacement impeller, you can navigate within this homepage to the gear housing to see the the water pump (impeller) parts listing. Find the appropriate part number and come back to iBoat and if it is available, you'll surely find it cheaper.

No impeller?? Yes there is an impeller that's how it keeps cool.
If the diaphragm is out of shape but doesn't have a hole or tear it will still work.
Bogging down, could be: the hose is soft/ mushy and collapsing.
Or the inline connector is bad and sucking air(remove it).
Dirty carbs or the floats set wrong can affect it.
Your local Mercury dealer should have or be able to get.
Take the old impeller with you as the dealer might try to sell you an impeller for a Mercruiser They look the same just bigger.

the fuel hoses to seem to link very easily. Gray ones. Should we be using different ones? Seemed to run ok today, was slow to get onto plane...but then after stopping g for lunch, was bogging down again...then started working better till we slowed to go under a bridge. Then had no get up and go again...ugh. Ideas?

Turning to the right.
On the bottom of the cavitation plate is a snout. It's adjustable.
From the rear: if the boats pulling to the right, turn the snout to the right.
