trim tilt tube for steering help

I need help i have a large tube that fit for ona 235 johnson but i changed engines and im using another tube thats alreaddy in my newer engine i have shrunk down toa 50hp engine the tube seems to be stuck or hung in around the steering cable shaft line,. the hydraulic line and steering and pump works fine it steers good,. I have tried everything i know to get it out.,Ive tried wd40,motoroil. liquid wrench, ive even heated it up with a torch and ive used propane gas I have tried beating it out with a pair of channel locks and a hammer ive got my buddy to even hel beat it out as i was heating it up.. and it still want come out CAN ANY1 HELP ME., cause i dont want to buy another pump or steering cable cause theres nothing wrong with the1 on it id like to reuse hose and fittings pump cable if i can ive priced the whole kit is around $700 so if any body can help me i would greatly be appreciated need to get back on water so ican do some fishing... thanks..

IF???? You tried to beat the steering cable end out of the tube??
You probably mushroomed the end of the cable.
