I am rebuilding the fuel pump completely and one of the fuel pump valves won't come out. One was held by screws and just dropped the other I had to punch it out of the pump body with a screw driver, how ever the last one won't come out.

I used PB blaster to loosen it up I've used hooks and screw drivers but I am now starting to scratch the inside of the fuel pump. Can I use heat???? It's a fuel pump though. Help!!

Aaaaaah !!!! A dremel tool. I got to try that. I hope the tip fits and I won't cause more damage to the pump's body than I already did. But it seems that I'm not the only one who had trouble with it.
I replaced my thermostat on my new/ used power head and it was missing the rubber washer that the thermostat sits on but everything inside looked clean and no corrosion.
Thank you !!
