Rebuilt my fuel pump and cleaned and placed new set pin in carb, kept all the the flags or tabs lined up with fuel pump, also all the tabs with gaskets and diaphrams. Put pump back on not pumping fuel to carb? Made sure that compression hole was clear and lined up with pump, but still no fuel to carb. Any ideas or help would be great. thanks

Sounds like maybe one of the two check valves inside the pump are not working like they should. Disconnect the outlet hose at the fuel pump. Blow into the inlet fitting. You should be able to blow into the inlet fitting with no problem. If you try sucking on the inlet, you should not be able to suck any air. Just be prepared to get some gas if you suck.

You can double check by disconnecting the fuel line that goes to the carbs. Crank the motor. Fuel should squirt out of the hose.

Square Mercury pump? Are both internal springs and buttons installed correctly behind the diaphragms? Is the outlet hose connected to the pump OUTLET nipple?

Pretty hard for the check valve to stick on the late model square fuel pump. It's just a flimsy rubber disk with a piece of plastic behind to give it some spring back. If you cannot blow through or having difficulty blowing through the inlet fitting with the hose on the outlet fitting disconnected, one or both of the check valves is not installed correctly, or the center section of the pump is installed backwards. Fortunately you can remove them and re-install either one (check valve or center section) if need be.

You should not be able blow through the outlet fitting.
