1988 force 35hp no model#

Hi new to the forum. My dad just bought a boat with a 35hp force on it. No model# or serial# tag. Any way to find out which model for parts. Parts for motor shows like 5 different models. Thanks jesse

Welcome, fill out the profile, location.
You might be close to someone who can help.
The 88/35: the parts are all pretty much inter-changable.
The model, serial# change is something that doesn't mean much.
Lots of time the design change is something you'll never notice.
Any 88/35 parts diagram will work for the replacement parts.

Thank you very much Jerry for the info. Gives me somewhere to start . Hopefully I can get him on the water shortly. A few months back I bought a 91 bayliner 20ft with a 120hp inboard l-drive. Haven't even got a chance to mess with it yet. So I'm sure I'll be back on here.
