I replaced the fuel pump on my engine because the bulb wasn't staying pumped. Bulb stays pumped now but engine still starts and runs a little then dies...I can wait a few minutes and it starts back up but again dies....any ideas?

The fact that it runs initially and eventually dies is a good symptom for fuel starvation. Try pumping the primer bulb while the motor is running and see if it dies. If it doesn't then it is an indication you have a bad fuel pump or there is a leak in the system or a tank vent is clogged or closed. Remove the tank out of the equation and use an external tank. If the problem persists, check the fuel pump. If problem still persists, check the carb floats or better yet clean the entire carb bowl and its float. See if the primer bulb collapses when the motor dies, it means you have a clogged suction or pick up tube.
