First, buy a $5 clear fuel filter (verify hose connection matches existing fuel hose) at Walmart and install it between the fuel pump output and the carb inlet. This is more of a troubleshooting tool than a secondary filter. If the filter gets empty when the engine bogs down, the cause of the fuel problem is upstream of the clear filter, i.e. fuel pump, fuel lines, primer bulb, suction tube, vent, etc. However, if the clear fuel filter stays full or at least 3/4 full when the engine bogs down or stalls, the problem is with the carb system, i.e. float, needle valve level, jets, etc.
Report back after the clear fuel filter installation and report diagnosis.
