My motor bogs down then stalls when in the straight down position , but when it's trimmed up at 45 deg angle it will stay running, sounds like fuel issue to me . Anyway have any input ?

Re: 125 force 1989

First, buy a $5 clear fuel filter (verify hose connection matches existing fuel hose) at Walmart and install it between the fuel pump output and the carb inlet. This is more of a troubleshooting tool than a secondary filter. If the filter gets empty when the engine bogs down, the cause of the fuel problem is upstream of the clear filter, i.e. fuel pump, fuel lines, primer bulb, suction tube, vent, etc. However, if the clear fuel filter stays full or at least 3/4 full when the engine bogs down or stalls, the problem is with the carb system, i.e. float, needle valve level, jets, etc.

Report back after the clear fuel filter installation and report diagnosis.

If it runs while tilted? It's probably the carb/float.
Clean the carb and make sure there is nothing in the needle/seat.
At Wallyworld, the filter. Fram G-12 or G-2
Check the pump diaphragm.
