What size is allen head bolt on exhaust snout

I have a 1986 85hp force. I had to cut allen head bolt that holds it on. Could anyone tell me what size that bolt is. I was wanting to pick one up on my way home from work. Thanks

I believe it is 5/16 - 18 X 1 inch long. Curious: With the tight clearance inside the snout, how did you manage to cut it off?

I used a VERY sharp drill bit to cut the head down.
When you buy new.
Make sure it's stainless.

Snout had to replaced when I got finished.

Saw the thread; got me wondering. I dropped the lower unit on my '89 85 with just the six bolts. The snout came off in place. Got me wondering if that bolt should be longer. Will look when it goes back on. (JJ; haven't updated; is TDC here and colder is on the way. Also; had PTO clutch problems on the big tractor). RF

Redfred.
There is 2 bolts/screws holding the snout in place.
There should be another 5/16-18X1 bolt under the snout.
