Force 9.9 starting/shifting problem

On my force 9.9hp, lately the shifter has been (sticking). When I start the engine and put it in gear it Go's in smoothly when I shift back into neutral it's fine too. But when I goto shift into reverse or restarting it after running ithe pull start jams up and it won't go into reverse. I think the problem is the tab that moves into the pull start when it's in forward cause in order to start it I have to take off the cowling and move the tab out of the starter. As for the reverse its the linkage for sure it's getting stuck on one of the levers. I put some grease on it and it helped a little.

So, when I first start it it will shift into reverse but it will not go Into reverse after its in forward. And the starter jams up.

Any help would be appreciated.
