9.9 force not running right on wide open

i have rebuilded the carb put in new plugs and when i run the motor on the lake i get to wide open its starts to run like it is missing i need some help with this one

check the fuel pump... take it apart and clean it with carb cleaner that should solve your problem

Knowing what were working on really helps???
There are hundreds of 9.9 out there?
Year? Model? Serial# Profile, location?
Do check the fuel pump.
Then check for water in the gas?
Replace all hoses and filters.
When the carb is off, check the reeds.

i put in new diaph in the fuel pump the only thing i didnt check was the reeds. the is 1986

Check for a leak in the fuel hose quick disconnect, or fuel system. I've had my small Force run crappy at high RPM and it's always the fuel hose quick disconnect sucking air, I reposition the hose and it clears up the issue. Pump up the primer bulb, hold it while squeezing and see if fuel is leaking out of the quick disconnect. If fuel leaks out, air will leak in....
