So I just bought a boat and it started right up with muffs at the guys house. It also ran fine the first time I took it out on the lake earlier this week. However, I figured I'd put two new spark plugs in it so I did that this morning. I just hooked up the muffs to make sure it was working fine before I take it on the lake later on. It won't start at all. I turn the key and nothing happens. I'm new to boats, but do I have to charge the starting battery after each time on the lake? I'm wondering if that might be the issue and I'm charging it now. However, could it have anything to do with changing out the plugs? I clicked the safety switch on and off a few times to make sure it is in the on(run) position. Can't figure it out?

Make sure the throttle/shift lever is in the Neutral position.

In addition to the shift handle being in neutral, check all wiring for loose connections.
Pay particular attention to the starter solenoid and the starter.
