Click to expand... Definitely interesting on an older engine. My guess is that they spend time in super shallow water, just like being in some of the sloughs on the delta. Can get into shallower areas and get back out.

Fast, shallow water and a lot of rocks. What some fishermen will go through to get to their favorite spot! Jet boat struggles in rapid. - YouTube
