Spent some time tonight looking for info on this motor. All I could come up with, using the serial number, was the year it was manufactured.
It seems to be an original to my 1994 Sylvan V16 Sea Troller I just purchased last week.
The info I`d like to know is what the top rpm and compression ratio for this particular motor is.
Also, the motor seems to have a substantial amount of what seems to be hard water deposits on the casing. I`ve used a 3 to 1 ratio of vinegar to water, but that did nothing. Even used hull cleaner on it to no avail.
What is a product that will cut through this easily? I`ve even thought of trying car wax.
Thanks for any feedback.

CLR or any lime remover.
You might eat through the paint?
Then it might start eating through the aluminum??
The compression 145-155 with a good guage.
Yours might read different than mine.
The important thing is both cylinders read the same,or real close to each other.
RPM;s 5200-5500.

Would you happen to know the Part number for a tilt/trim pump for this model?

balbrandon, you should start your own posts. Adding someting on anothers post is frowned upon.
Oh Yea Welcome.
Always include: serial# model# and any info that might be helpful.
They made 3 different pump styles and without the serial# I'd be guessing?
Fill out the profile,location too.
