Will controls and steering from a 25hp Mariner work on a 50hp force outboard?

I'm trading a 25 Hp Mariner from 1988 for a 50 Hp 1990 Force outboard and trying to see if the steering and throttle controls will work?
Pleas elet me know if you can

Steering will probably work.
But not the controls.
Just saw a shifter on e-bay.
Almost any Chrysler/Force shifter will work.
