I have an 88 Force 125 that bogs at wide oped throttle. It fluctuates between 4500 and 3000 RPM. At 3/4 throttle i notice a very slight bog and at 1/2 and anything below that it runs perfectly fine. I had some one pump the bulb while i stayed at WOT and it ran perfect staying at a steady RPM, so obviously i have a fuel delivery issue. This happened last summer with about 2 weeks left in the season so instead of addressing the problem the correct way i put a cheap electric inline fuel pump in and it was running fine. With the summer coming up i would like to address the problem the correct way so i was wondering if anyone has any ideas before i dive into this.

First like pnwboat suggests, rebuild the pump.
Then start at the tank, make sure the fuel vent line isin't clogged?
Then ANY inline connectors, get rid of them. They leak and suck air.
I guess your living in South Mongolia or maybe Tennessee?? Profile?
You using ethanol in your fuel??
It melts the old rubber in the hoses, making them soft musshy.
They can collapse?

fishermanfromks You should start your own thread?
You sure that the comp test is right? You pull both plugs?
The 100# is way low,get another guage and try again??
It's running so the comp#s are probably wrong.
The tank's vent could be clogged.
The inline connectors? They can go bad and suck air.

ADDING AN ELECTRIC FUEL PUMP IS LIKE ADDING A HAND GRENADE TO YOUR OUTBOARD.NOT SMART.
