I bought a boat that all wiring had been gutted before I got it. Have most every thing rewired with no problems except for the warning buzzer. I have a Seloc manual but it does not help me on the motor for the buzzer. Have the orange wire coming from sensor to the I termanal on Ignition switch. Buzzer is a two wire unit that mounts under dash. No wires go to the control box. Any one know how this should be wired? Let me know if you need more info.

Re: 1987 Force 85 wiring question

The orange wire will actually ground out when the bimetal switch in the engine head closes due to overheating.

SO: From the "I" terminla on the ignition switch, a lead goes to one side of the buzzer. The other pigtail attaches to the orange wire. When the engine overheats, the switch grounds, voltage will flow, and the buzzer will sound. Because it is powered by the "I" terminal, turning off the engine will stop the buzzer. Turn the switch back on and the buzzer will sound until the engine cools.
