Force 9.9 Serial # OE105918 - 1994 YEAR Made be Mercury

I have the above engine. What is the difference between this engine and the 15 h.p. The brochure from this year shows exact same weight. Can a conversion be done ? What parts are needed? and what would the approximate cost be? Can a new carb for 15 HP just replace the 9.9 carb? <part #).

I am not really sure about your engine but when they were made under Chrysler decal and I think it is the same engine but with Force decal the 15Hp has a lager displacement then the 9,9Hp. The 15Hp has also a different (lager) carb.
If you want more power..... buy a 15Hp, much cheaper then try to change carb and mix up different parts that do not sync together.
