Oil/exhaust leak, 1974 Chrysler 120 hp, 4 cyl

Please look at the attached photos and advise if i have a problem and suggestion on how to fix.. I'm worried about the exhaust leak at parting line and the crack in the pivot area. Any suggestions on how to proceed?? Tried to load pics, no luck oil leak is out of water intake and exhaust skeg, exhaust is at parting line. crack starts at top bole, there are four, of the cover of the oivot for the engine (leftView attachment 169963View attachment 169963 and right movement) . :confused:

Looks like it is the shockmoun tcovers that has cracks. They are bolted to the lower swivel. You can change them, have a look at ex. ebay.

You must support the engine by the flywheel. Remove the rear shroud and remove the six 7/16 head bolts inside the lower cowling.

Remove the four 1/2 inch head motor mount bolts in the front and the two 9/16 head upper bolts. Chances are very good that on an engine that old at least one will snap off. Then, you need to remove the kingpin and transom clamps.

All in all, a messy job and one for a winter project. You might consider either grinding out the crack and gluing with epoxy or better, having it welded.

If you decide to do it, you can use any mount from any three or four cylinder Chrysler or Force before 1994, except Force 70 and 75 and extra long shaft engines. They only changed style slightly and color, not basic design

Will try to add more pic's. Can't all files are too large. Any suggestion on how to get "small" pic files??
