1989 85 HP Force Crankshaft Fit 1994 90 HP Sport Jet motor?

Hello,

I am selling a crankshaft on ebay off of 1989 85 HP Force outboard. I have a prospective buyer asking if it will fit his 1994 90 HP Sport Jet, OEO43664.

I know 1994 is right around when the changed over to a newer style mercury lower unit, with different splines on the crank.

Just wondering if this will work for him? Any help would be GREATLY appreciated.

I believe you answered your own question! Count the splines on your crankshaft and let the prospective buyer count splines on his engine. I suspect they will not match.

Other reason are yours is not cut/keyed for oil injection gear...
